sorry that i haven't updated in FOREVER! but anyway, guess what?!?!?
I GOT LEFT AT STARBUCKS AT EVANGALSIM!!!
i am not even lying!!!
ok, here's what happened:
so paige is cleaning up a spill that justin made with his drink because he was holding it and his finger poked a hole in it (that would ONLY happen to justin. ok, maybe phillip..). but anyway, i said, "paige, i'm going to get a cookie" and she says ok, even though she doesn't remeber this. anyway, so i go and get the cookie and the guy ringing up my stuff was kinda flirting with me. so anyway, i buy the cookie and then go back, but everyone is gone. i'm thinkin, "it's not that big of a deal, i'm sure they just walked out.". so i put back the chairs that justin and mark had left out. so i go out the door by office depot. no bus. i go look out the door by starbucks. no one there. so i'm thinkin, "they must have gone out another door" so i go look, and i see security guards. so i go up to them and say, "um, excuse me, where's the exit" and they go "which one?". uh, hello... i'm asking you for an exit, kinda impling i DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET OUTTA HERE but, of course, these lovely little security officers are much much too dull to see that. they say, "the exit onto hennipen?" and i'm like, "sure" and the dude points. i start walking over, but i felt like God was telling me no, go back, so i did.
so now i'm in starbucks and so i go up to the counter. there were two dudes, and i asked them if i could use their phone, but the other dude that didn't ring up my stuff before said, "i'm sorry, but we can't allow anyone to use the phone, it's starbucks policy" but then the other guy says, "but...." and HE HANDS ME HIS CELLPHONE!!!!!!!! i was like, 'I LOVE YOU!' and i might have actually said it, i think i did. he's a nice dude. any way, so i try to remeber paige's home number (she had her cell with her and i don't remeber it's number) but i don't remeber it. so i call my mom. no answer. so then i call my house, but then i hang up because, duh, no one is home. so i call jillene, but she's busy, and so i call natalie (the heroine of this story. and get your minds outta the gutter. i am not talking about the drug, i'm talking about a female hero) and i'm like, "natalie, i need paige's home number. paige *insert last name here*." and so she gets me it and turns out i was ONE number off, but whatever, so i call paige's mom (here-after reffered to as angela, because i'm not a-gonna say her last name) and say, "hi this is gretchen, could i speak to angela"
"this is she"
"uh, hi. what's paige's cell phone number?"
"she's at evangalism right now"
"i know. they left me at starbucks"
(now she has a worried tone in her voice)"oh, it's *insert number here*"
"thanks, bye"
and so i dial the number, but before it could ring, mr. john came in and was like, "gretchen! i am so sorry! i take full responsiblilty!" i hand back the phone to the dude and i'm all, it's ok. it really is etc. cuz it really is. i didn't cry and there is no emotional tramua, so it's all good (all good in the hood). and when i got back on the bus, everyone clapped and cheered. i felt kinda like a celebrity, but not quite. anyway, now i have to go to be because it's "late". HA! ya right. i think my parent's missed the part where it turned into daylight savings time. anyway, i've gotta go, bye!
luv, gretti
