I ate cherries on Saturday, Jul. 19, 2003 @ 4:27 p.m. and it tasted like mon-wed. of my vacation
ugh. remind me never to sit infront of a little boy on an airplane ever again. hey, just got back from Florida. no, i am not tan and no, i did not get my hair braided. right now, i am tired. anyway, the kid behind me was kicking my chair the whole 2 1/2 hours on the plane. but, what was really cute, was when we were going to land, we flew over the mississippi river, and he asked his mom, "Is that the Mississikippey river?" and then he said, "I spy something green. it has roots to keep it in the ground, and you can climb them." then his mom said, "is it a tree?" and he said, with total astonishment "YA!!! how chu no?" that was worth the kicking. anyway, here's what we did: Saturday: rode plane to florida. could NOT find our hotel room that we were staying in that night (we went to the condo the next day). it was in the "Disney Carribian Island Resort". you'de think it would look carribian-y, but it didn't at all. we also went to this resteraunt called "Shudders" (do not ask me why it is called that) and ate. food was ok. Sunday: we went to "The Holy Land Experience". it was cool. they re-created the when-Jesus-was-alive Jerusalem and had actors that played gaurdes and goat hearders etc. it was really cool. but the Scriptorium (a museum-thingy, but not a museum, very hard to describe if i'm lazy, which i am) kinda creeped me out. watched tv and ate take-out chinese. Monday: oh, the beach. the ocean. it was the perfect day to go to the ocean. they had big waves (perfect for body surfinging, but i didn't do to well) and it wasn't that hot. we also went to Ron Jon's Surf Shop (by Coco beach) and i bought a long sarog-thing (you know, the thing you tie aroud your waist to cover-up the bottom half of your swimming suit) that is really cute. it came with a matching top, a piece of cloth with two strings. lol, that's what it looks like. it only covers up what needs to be covered, so i'm not wearing it. Tuesday: Islands of Adventure was the destionation. i stood about two hours in line for the Hulk rollercoaster. oh, saw hue, i have to tell you about this one girl i saw. she was most likely on her honeymoon w/ her husband.she was young, pretty, small, nice etc. everything a guy could want. he was old, fat, and, get this, had a blue thumbnail. ewww. but, she had on designer jeans and shirt, and lots of gold on. she looked pretty happy, so i guess it wouldn't be that bad after all......... anyway, after that, we went on "Dr. Doom's Fearfall!" (it wasn't scary AT ALL!). kirsten and i were in front on some british kids obviously on some sort of group vacation (maybe they were related, i dunno) and they were arguing. all of a sudden, this guy (about my age) said, "don't f***** argue" now, what he said was crude, but he had the coolest voice, almost orli-like. i really don't want to bore you with every ride we went on and the excruciating wait for this spiderman thing, so lets move on. Wednessday: Typhoon Lagoon. it's an ok disney waterpark. but, the coolest thing was there. i snorkeled with the sharks and fishies! and one came up to me and i touched it, and it didn't swim away! that was sooo much fun. but the water was soooo stinkin COLD! anyway, i'm too lazy to write more now, i'll write more later. ttfn, ta ta for now! gretti |
